Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing team manager, Barry

Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing team manager, Barry Hawk, was inducted into the AMA Hall Of Fame last week in the Class of 2023. Barry won 7 consecutive quad championships from 1993 to 1999. For the 1998 and 1999 season Barry raced the pro quad race on Saturday and the pro bike race on Sunday, a feat still unmatched to this day. He made the full time switch to motorcycles in the year 2000 and got his first overall win in 2001. In 2003, he won the GNCC Pro bike championship, making him the first and only rider to win GNCC championships on both a quad and bike. From 2011 to 2015 he remained in the industry as part of the GNCC track crew. In 2016, he picked up his current role of team manager for the Coastal GASGAS Factory racing team, mentoring and managing the riders of today.

Congratulations to eMTB rider, Talon Hawk, for capturing the XC2 class title this year! Way to go, @talon.hawk! 🔥🔥

Last weekends, The Mountaineer, featured an eMTB doubleheader on Friday and Saturday. Friday featured a great race for Talon, where he led most of it but snapped his chain about a mile from the finish. With a margin over second place, Talon was able to push his bike all the way to the finish and crossed the line for his 4th win of the season.
Saturday’s race was much smoother, with Talon winning his 5th straight race and capturing this year’s championship.

Coastal Gasgas Factory Racing returned to racing t

Coastal Gasgas Factory Racing returned to racing this weekend at The Mountaineer in Beckley, West Virginia for round 10 of GNCC racing!
Sunday saw a lot of rain before and during the race causing difficult and muddy conditions. XC2 rider, Ryder Lafferty, was forced to DNF due to mechanical issues shortly after completing lap 1.
Cole Whitmer, racing Open A, had the lead early on but also faced a mechanical issue that resulted in a 7th place finish for him. 250 A rider, Lane Whitmer, finished 9th in class.

Super Senior A rider, Shawn Remington, finished third in class this weekend and remains leading in class points. Congrats, Shawn!

The boys returned to racing this weekend at round 7 of @nepgenduro series at the Little Raccoon National! 🦝
Congrats to @ryder_lafferty who finished his day with a 3rd overall!
@colewhit518 and @lanewhitmer587 also raced the AA class and finished 2nd and 3rd in class. Congrats, boys!

Snowshoe mountain brought good results for @lanewhitmer587 in 250A, with a 5th place finish and 31st OA.
@colewhit518 grabbed a win in Open A and a 35th OA. Congrats, Cole!
Ryder Lafferty started the race but was unable to finish due to an illness.
@shawn.remington finished 3rd in Super Senior A.

Yesterdays @gncc_racing Mason-Dixon was hot and dusty!
XC2 Pro rider @ryder_lafferty finished in 4th place, just off the podium.
@lanewhitmer587 finished with a 3rd place in 250A. Great job, Lane!
@shawn.remington captured a 3rd place finish as well in Super Senior A.
Thad Duvall and Cole Whitmer did not race due to injury.
